ABOUT DR. SUMIT

Dr. Sumit Kumar Agrawal — Surgeon, Teacher, Soldier's Doctor

Laparoscopic, Laser, Trauma & General Surgeon · Siliguri

MAMC · UCMS · Ex-Faculty · BSF 5 Yrs · 5 Hospitals · 4.9★

He Chose Surgery. He Still Loves It Every Day.

As a young student at Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi, Sumit Agrawal knew what he wanted — the operating theatre.
He earned his MS in General Surgery at UCMS, Delhi, training in one of the busiest surgical departments in India. Then MAMC called him back — this time as a teacher of surgery.
He could have stayed in Delhi. He chose North Bengal instead — bringing keyhole and laser surgery to patients who once had to travel far for it.
Today, he runs OPDs across 5 hospitals in Siliguri, and serves as Consultant Surgeon to the Border Security Force. From a simple hernia to a critical accident case, he handles it himself — calmly and clearly.

Modern Surgical Techniques

Laparoscopic and laser-assisted procedures are used wherever clinically appropriate to support smaller incisions, reduced discomfort and smoother recovery.

Personalised Patient Care

Every treatment plan is prepared after a careful consultation, medical assessment and detailed discussion with the patient.
